Amy holds a Ph.D from the University of Toronto and teaches college English. She cares deeply about changing the stories we tell about fostering and foster children and has volunteered with various child welfare organizations, focusing especially on helping to improve access to higher education for former youth in care. You can often find her tending to the (very loud and persistent) demands of her three cats and her silly dog, Percy.
