Do you ever have those moments where you start to really think about a phrase or idea that you’ve heard before, and you suddenly realize you have no idea what it means? More so, you’re clueless about how this particular sentiment relates to your unique situation. Take the phrase “fertility window,” for example. Many of […]
As someone who experienced the pitfalls of infertility firsthand, when I finally became pregnant, I found myself waiting for that moment when I would actually “feel” pregnant. Sure, I’d received positive results during my BETA tests and had begun to experience the gestational fatigue so many of us expectant mothers have come to know and […]

Postpartum bodies are amazing–those stretch mark-filled bellies and loose skin have performed amazing feats, and they deserve to be celebrated. And yet, they aren’t the bodies we’re used to, and many women struggle with […]
The NICU can be an intimidating place, especially for those of us with little hospital experience. Even if you yourself have experience with hospitals, it can still be frightening because so much is on the line. Your newborn baby is hooked up to wires and tubes, possibly in an incubator, with little certainty about when […]
It’s Sunday night. Dinner is done, the kids are in bed. Your partner has done the dishes and watches you write a list of everything that needs to get done for the week. You and your partner have work in the morning, and your kids have daycare. It’s highly likely that you find yourself wondering […]
